3. Sky Dive – easy.. want to fly!
4. Learn to Surf – no explanation needed!

Hi Mike,
List sounds pretty perfect… don’t forget the sand surfing. Over on the Hokianga Harbour at high tide you end up in the water. And while you are there you can check out some of our oldest, biggest trees! I think Takaka in Golden Bay the top of the South Island is a great spot if you are keen walking, caving, climbing or just chilling on the beaches. Anyway we are based in Paihia, Bay of Islands if you need any help flick me an email and I can see what I can help with.
Safe Travels,
Sarah

Hey Mike,
Your trip sounds pretty amazing, I gotta say I’m a little jealous, haha.
Something else you might want to ad to your list would be Kiteboarding. I’m sure it would be a lot of fun down there in NZ.
Have fun!
Cheers.

Hey Bro,
I think Kiteboading would be right up my alley – good call! Definitely have to do some research and do a course I think. Im sure the kiwis are into it as they love anything extreme.
Do you kiteboard? You planning on travelling?
cheers….mike

I think you have already left the South Island but the Milford Track is high on my list. A guided climb of Mt Taranaki looks cool too. Unfortunately these this we won’t be able to do in September/October because there will be snow/dangerous conditions.
I like your blog. Sounds like you are having a great time.

The milford track does sound amazing and hopefully be able to do that next year. I will be heading down south in teh next couple months for work, so plan to hit up queenstown for mountain biking! Pretty stoked, since they just started lift access..wahoo no peddling up! Mount Taranaki was on my radar when i went to new plymouth for a wedding but weather was crap so plans changed. There are so many great walks to do!
Thanks for reading and Im glad you like my blog. When do you arrive and what are your plans for NZ?

We arrive in September for the Rugby World Cup. We have 39 days in NZ and look forward to seeing so much. I started a blog to highlight our planning and then it will be to document our trip for my wife and son who will be home waiting for our return.

I checked out your blog! Looks great! You will have a blast in NZ. What games will you be checking out? Im guessing you’ve already booked your accommodation?

I know we are going to have a blast. I have never vacationed like this before. We will be following all the Canada games and then traveling all around New Zealand when the games aren’t being played.
We are renting a campervan for the entire trip. I didn’t want the worries of purchasing and selling a vehicle. The campsites are booked when we are in the cities for the games. We will be in Whangarei, Napier and Wellington for the games. There isn’t many places we won’t get to while driving around. So looking forward to it!
I thought about bringing our bikes down to NZ, but I am worried about my $6k bike being left strapped to the campervan when we go to do something else. Not sensible I think.
I listen to bFM when I am working in my shop. I like that station in Auckland.
Cheers!
