This was the final day of the Stray trip and it has been epic so far. Every night we’ve been up to the wee hours of the morning partying and everyday we are up early doing a really cool activity. Today we were going try and get on the river to do some white water rafting in Rotorua, but the river was still running really high so we weren’t able to get on it. This wasn’t such a bad thing as 4 days and a total of 6 hours sleep had finally caught up with me. If we were able to get on the river I would have jumped at it, but let’s just say I wasn’t overally disappointed to be chilling on a bus hehe. Ill be back to do the river, hopefully on an other Stray tour.
We just toured back to Auckland and then hit the fat camel for a couple drinks to end the trip. The people I met on the trip were amazing. I have to say the whole group got a long great! I definitely made some good friends on this trip.
Overall it was a great experience. I know I made it out to sound like a complete piss up and for me it was, but Stray really isn’t just about getting people drunk. There were plenty of people on the trip that weren’t interested in drinking and were there to see New Zealand. There was no ribbing or trying to get them to drink. Stray really tried to get everyone to enjoy himself or herself and catered to each person. They provide a true kiwi experience and take you to places that kiwis like to go to. I want to give a big shout out to Stray Travel. If you are looking to do a tour in NZ, go with Stray you will not be disappointed. The drivers are knowledgeable, friendly and outgoing people. Our guides were just as interested in getting to know us as we were in getting to know them. Do a Stray tour you will not regret it.
